This plugin allows Joomla 3.x users running VirtueMart 3.x to take secure, PCI-DSS friendly credit card payments using Heartland Payment Systems.

As one of the largest payment processors in the United States, Heartland Payment Systems delivers credit/debit/prepaid card processing and security technology through Heartland Secure™ and its comprehensive Heartland breach warranty.

• Accept the following credit/debit card payments through your VirtueMart ecommerce store using your Heartland Payment Systems account:
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • Diners Club
  • JCB
• Sandbox mode for testing purposes

NOTE: At this time, you must refund manually through your Heartland Payment Systems admin area. We plan to add refunding functionality through this plugin in a future update. Also, recurring or subscription-based payments are not available. We will add this functionality in a future update as well.

Requirements for Use

These are the minimum system and server requirements for the successful functioning of this plugin:

• Joomla version 3.9.22 or higher
• Virtuemart version 3.8 or higher
• PHP 7.2 or higher
• MySQL 5.6.5 or higher

This plugin works best on an error free installation of Joomla/Virtuemart. If you have customized Virtuemart or the core Joomla CMS in any way, we cannot guarantee that this plugin will function properly. However, we can assess and quote for the work necessary to get the plugin to work correctly in customized environments.

Also, in the case of another component, extension, or plugin causing a conflict with this Heartland plugin, we can assess and quote for the work necessary to correct the issue.
